Mbaye Diagne joins West Bromwich Albion - On form for Galatasaray this season
Premier League side West Bromwich Albion have signed Senegalese international Mbaye Diagne. The striker arrives on loan from Galatasaray, West Brom are understood to have a clause to make the deal permanent at the end of the season. Diagne had returned to Istanbul in the summer of 2020 after an unfortunate loan spell at Club Brugge. Since returning to Turkey, Diagne has scored 11 goals in 18 appearances for Galatasaray.
“Scoring goals is the most difficult part of the game but we feel he will come with confidence and we hope that will rub off on the squad, sporting and technical director Luke Dowling said in a club statement. “Signing players in January is all about hitting the ground running. We hope Mbaye can do that as quickly as possible with games coming thick and fast."
