Hertha want Ryan Sessegnon - Face stiff competition from the Premier League
Hertha Berlin have been working on a deal to sign Jeff Reine-Adélaïde from Olympique Lyon. The team from the German capital now appears to be the favorites to sign the player. But Reine-Adélaïde is not Hertha's only transfer target. According to a report by The Athletic, Hertha are also monitoring the situation involving Tottenham midfielder Ryan Sessegnon.
Sessegnon has struggled for playing time since joining Tottenham from Fulham in the summer of 2019. But the 20-year-old has featured in just 12 games for Spurs. Sessegnon and Spurs are now discussing a loan to give the player much needed playing time. The Berlin-based club, however, faces competition from the Premier League where Brighton & Hove Albion, Southampton and Leeds United are interested. Ajax could be interested should Nicolás Tagliafico leave the club.

Tottenham, however, are somewhat reluctant to include that in a potential deal. Other obstacles include the size of the loan-deal package and salary demands. Hertha head coach Bruno Labbadia has been adamant that his side needs additions. "We had a few no shows on the field," Labbadia said after the 3-1 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday. "To few players on the field, who wanted to show initiative."
